Grading, drainage and a new retaining wall to stop runoff reaching the lower level of the house.
Water had been finding the lower level for two seasons. The fix was not waterproofing, it was grading.
We re-cut the slope behind the house, built a segmental retaining wall, and put in a French drain that daylights well clear of the foundation. Two wet seasons on, the lower level has stayed dry.
